I recently read Jenny’s book tag post and just had to do my own. I took some of the questions out and here are my 15 questions and answers! Reading is major passion of mine and there’s nothing I love more than cosying up with a good book and I want to incorporate more reviews and posts into my blog so here we go..
How many books is too many books in a series?
I don’t actually know, I’ve read the I heart series and there are 7 in that, but I want more!
How do you feel about cliffhangers?
If there is another book after then 100%, why not but if not then no, I want the book to have an ending that is closure.
Hard copy or paperback?
Paperback 100%! So much cheaper and smaller for ease of travel and storage.
Favourite book?
Oh my, I actually don’t know! I think either ‘I Heart New York’ or ‘The Couple Next Door’. It’s so close though and there are so many other books that I love.
Least favourite book?
Either ‘Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine’ or ‘This Must be the Place’. I liked the ending, but the start of both books made it harder for me to read.
The most recent book you just couldn’t finish?
Well I finish every book regardless, however the two above have taken me the longest to read.
A book you’re currently reading?
Just about to finish ‘Me Before You’ but I’m also reading ‘Worth Dying For’ on the side.
Last book you recommended to someone?
‘Then She Was Gone’. The book was amazing and intriguing I just had to recommend it to my friend!
Newest book you’ve read?
Some Kind of Wonderful by Giovanna Fletcher.
Favourite author?
Lindsey Kelk, Giovanna Fletcher or Jennifer Niven.
Buying or borrowing?
Buying. I would love to borrow more but I just like to see the books on my bookshelf and own them. I don’t know why, I just do.
Can you read whilst hearing music?
Sometimes. If I’m reading on the train and it’s loud then I will put music on but other than that I will read in silence.
One POV or multiple POVs?
Either, I don’t mind! I like books that have both in.
Do you read a book in one sitting or over multiple days?
This depends on the book, I have read books in 2/3 days or 2/3 weeks. I prefer 2/3 days as that means I can read more.
One book you read because of the cover
Prisoners of Geography -Tim Marshall. It had a map on it…
Hope you enjoyed the answers and let me know if you decide to do your own tag!

Couldn’t agree more with preferring paperbacks, hardbacks I just hate the frontcover/sleeve element – so pointless! And 10000% feel the same about ‘This must be the place’ I just didn’t gel with it at all!

they get so annoying and tangled, especially in bags for travelling! Im so glad you said that, I thought I was just being a bit silly. I had to get to page like 300 to actually like it and it felt such a drag! x

Ooh got to love a good book tag – I’ve been looking for a new one to do, might have to give this one a go! Really interesting reading this – you’re the first person I’ve heard not be completely in love with `Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine`. I haven’t read it myself yet, but nice to have a reality check on it!

This one is really fun and if you visit Jenny’s original post, there are 5 more questions on there too ☺️ yeah I feel like I’m the only one that isn’t in love with it! It’s a good book, but I wouldn’t rush to read it again 🙈x

I am so glad that you are a lover of paperback books! I find hard backs so solid and unfeeling! If .a book can be unfeeling!

I have a few hardbacks in my collection and they’re good but not my go-to ☺️

I like multiple POVs as long as they don’t overlap too much where it’s not important. Buying books gets expensive, which is why I borrow 🙂

Yeah exactly that, like I love Jennifer Niven’s books as they are written from 2 POVs and it suits the story well. That is the only downside to buying books so I try to limit myself to a spree every few months ☺️ thank you for commenting ☺️ xx

I agree that if books are good there can never be too many, I could have read Harry Potter for ever (even though I’m 44)!

I fell if the story is right and works then why should it stop! I’ve never actually read the Harry Potter books (sorry in advance) but I do want to read them at some point ☺️x

I prefer paperbacks too, so much easier for carrying around in your bag! I saw Me Before You at the cinema and really enjoyed it. I would be tempted to read the book as well as it’s such a good story 😘 Great post Liz! 💖 xx

Love this post, we have such similar taste! I love the I heart series, loved The Couple Next Door and Then She Was Gone! I also loved Eleanor Oliphant though, I thought it was an amazing book! Completely agree about paperbacks, my other half always buys me hardbacks and I hate them haha!

I read both of those books in literally 2 days, I couldn’t put them down! I did enjoy the book more towards the end and it is a good book, just thought was overhyped personally! yeah so has mine a few times, they also make the bookshelf look so untidy haha!

Same here, you know a book is good when you can’t put it down! Yeah there was a lot of hype around it! Haha I know right, the jackets get so tatty aswell, paper backs all the way!

I’m the same about seeing books stacked rather than borrowing them, then I complain that I don’t have space! I’ve never read either of your favourites so I’ll be adding those to my list. I love posts like this and thanks for the recommendations x
